| Effective October 17th, 2012 Oscar S. Garcia was appointed to the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA)-Agency for Space Transportation (AST) Commercial Space Operations advisory committee. The appointment was delivered by US Secretary of Transportation, Mr. Ray Lahood. Oscar S. Garcia states “ It is an honor and a privilege to serve in this commercial space industry advisory Committee. I will endeavor to provide the best insight I can to the FAA-AST related to regulation, safety, operations and business-strategic feasibility of this emerging industry segment. I am committed to continue serving, after three years, to COMSTAC’s Operation and Systems Working Groups as well” Oscar concluded.
