Oscar Garcia speaks at World City’s Connections Aviation and Aerospace Panel breakfast event in Miami

Oscar Garcia, IFC Chairman, spoke and shared his views with a “full house” audience about the aviation and aerospace industries in South Florida. Joining him on the event panel at the Miami International Airport were Roland Moore, a prominent Miami based international aviation corporate attorney and Frederic Denise, CEO of Barfield Inc a rapidly expanding Sabena Technics company also based in Miami. The panel was moderated by World City’s editor Ian McCluskey and World’s City Group President Ken Roberts. Oscar expanded on the topics published by World City magazine in its March 2008 aerospace report (please click here for details) in the context of the global impact of South Florida aviation and aerospace multi-national companies. The audience obtained an expert perspective on South Florida past, present and future aviation and aerospace industries. Oscar clarified the distinctions amongst aviation, space and aerospace industry sectors and their vertical and horizontal commerce chain relationships.
The event was very successful in terms of attendance and audience participation. World city organizers expect to publish regular aerospace and aviation industry articles and hold a series if events dedicated to this very fundamental industry to South Florida’s economy.
